Nichols Garden Nursery: Philomath Oregon

Nichols Garden Nursery is located in Oregon’s famous Willamette Valley, where deep humus soils and mild climates have combined to bring about the best possible growing conditions.

From the very beginning back in 1950, the purpose of this family owned business continues to be bringing people closer to nature through gardening. In its 3rd generation of family, the quality and variety of seeds just keeps getting better. This seed company has been a staple in family homes all across the country for more than 70 years.

Siskiyou Seeds: Williams, Oregon

Siskiyou Seeds is stewarded by Don Tipping, Stacey Denton and their family plus a core of dedicated staff.

Raising their own organic and open pollinated seed right on their Siskiyou Crest farm while working with other amazing organic seed growers exclusively in the Cascadia bioregion, they also raise a variety of animals using biodynamic farming practices.

In addition to producing seeds, they also have about 700 fruit and nut trees, with the surplus distributed at a local farmers market as well as the Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) cooperative called the Siskiyou Sustainable Cooperative

Adaptive Seeds: Sweet Home, Oregon

Adaptive Seeds, established in 2009 by Andrew Still and Sarah Kleeger, offers certified organic, farm based seeds just outside Sweet Home, Oregon.

Putting rare and heritage, Oregon / Northwest bred varieties in the forefront, Adaptive seeds is a member of the Open Source Seed Initiative and the local Seed Ambassadors Project. Their seeds are guaranteed to never be proprietary hybrids, patented or genetically modified in any way.

Stewarding rare, diverse and resilient seed varieties for ecologically-minded farmers, gardeners and seed savers, their seed is specifically adapted to the Pacific Northwest and other short season northern climates.

Territorial Seed: Cottage Grove, OR

Bought from the original founder, Steve Solomon, in 1985 Tom and Julie Johns have nurtured this local, Cottage Grove, OR business and continue to honor the course set by Steve to this day.

From the earliest seed production crops grown (in isolation) in Steve’s neighbors’ gardens to Tom and Julie’s 44 acres in London Springs, the Territorial Seed staff grow and evaluate thousands of varieties for best taste, Northwest hardiness, and good germination.

As well as offering great resources like a garden planner and growing guides, producing their own seeds right here in oregon and their beautiful, detailed garden catalogue, we love that Territorial Seeds supports local and independent artists to produce their catalog covers and seed packet images!

Victory Seeds: Molalla, Oregon

Founded in 1998 by Mike Dunton, Victory Seeds takes its name from traditional WWII Victory Gardens.

Along with 100% non GMO, open pollinated seeds, their offerings include themed garden kits, heirloom tobacco varieties and high quality traditional garden tools.

Based in Molalla, OR, Victory Seeds also work at building community and providing educational and informational resources pertaining to historical horticulture, gardening, seed saving, personal food production and preservation, etc.
